EMC Networker Maintenance Agreement
UCSD participates in the continuing UC agreement with the EMC software division that was formerly known as Legato Systems.
This agreement provides software upgrades and support at greatly reduced prices on an annual basis. Additional software purchases done directly at the 40% educational discount rate can be maintained under this agreement. Be sure to let your sales representative know that any new purchases will become part of the UC agreement and will receive support pro-rated to match the annual support agreement dates.
The current UC EMC/Networker/Legato maintenance agreement primarily covers the products acquired earlier via a 3-year purchase and maintenance agreement.
Direct contacts are each year in the $800 to $1000 per named contact price range. Support costs are a percentage of the price of each license, plus tax at the UCOP 8.775% rate. We get a quote for each known license each year. If you buy new products, please let us know the exact details to ensure we get them covered.
There is a $20 transaction fee.
AUTOMATIC renewal of any maintenance and contacts will be assumed unless you opt-out at least two weeks before renewals would be due.
We will continue to use your same IFIS index number on file unless you provide a new account to use.
