This is the agreement used by most departments for Symantec software.

  • There is a minimum order of ten licenses per product.
  • A $20 transaction fee is added to each Symantec order.
  • Some popular products are available on-line. Media and license codes take 6-9 weeks to arrive.
  • ALL Symantec license codes, including SYMANTEC ANTIVIRUS CORPORATE EDITION, are ordered from the vendor with our next monthly or quarterly order. This may take quite some time. Symantec individually serializes these products now.
  • CDs do not come with or include licenses, so you would have to order one license per any CD that you order.

Available license types:

  • MEDIA PACK -- Media packs DO NOT include licenses. You may choose not to purchase media if we have the product on-line.
  • LICENSE or LICENSE W/ 1YR MAINT -- These are the most commonly-ordered types of item. Each is a license. The second type includes one year of maintenance. Usually only one or the other is listed for a particular product.
  • LICENSE UPGRADE -- Upgrades must be completely processed through us and sent to the vendor before the expiration date of the original license. We require serial numbers from the licenses you want to upgrade.
  • LICENSE W/ 1YR COMPETITIVE MAINT UPGRADE -- This would be an upgrade from an eligible product from a competitor (a different company that makes antivirus software.) Upgrades must be completely processed through us and sent to the vendor before the expiration date of the original license. We require serial numbers from the licenses you want to upgrade.
  • MAINTENANCE ONLY -- This would be purchased at the same time as a new license, if the item does not already include it.
  • MAINTENANCE 2 YR EXTENDED -- This would be purchased at the same time as a new license (and a MAINTENANCE ONLY license if necessary) to extend coverage to a total of two years.
  • MAINTENANCE 1 YR RENEW -- This is to renew maintenance on an existing license, for one year.
  • MAINTENANCE 2 YR RENEW -- This is to renew maintenance on an existing license, for two years.
