Microsoft Ordering Information

See this link for Volume License Keys Information, including a list of which keys to use for which products.

You cannot use our license keys for Windows XP, or Office XP or newer, with bookstore or other retail media. You can access the software and the license code with the username and password that will be emailed to you when you purchase licenses.

Acronyms

These are the acronyms:

Lic = License
Lic/SA = License with Software Assurance
SA = Software Assurance, rights to future versions during the period covered (SA alone is generally not available)
MVL: Multiple Volume License; applies to entire agreement
English/MultiLang: Multiple language; adds the ability to use alternate input methods besides English.
UPG: Upgrade. (We only have upgrades on Microsoft Operating Systems. There are no more one-time upgrades for other Microsoft Products.)

Software Assurance
SA (Software Assurance) gives you rights to future versions during the period
covered. SA alone is generally not available. SA can be purchased only on the same order as the corresponding Select license. If SA is not ordered at the same time as the Select license, it can never be ordered for that license. SA is purchased for the period remaining on the agreement and is sold only in full contract year increments. SA is available separately for FPP (fully packaged product) and OEM (original equipment manufactures) licenses, with some restrictions.

Downgrading to Run Earlier Versions

Windows 2000/pro is now only available as a downgrade from Windows XP/pro.

We no longer sell licenses for Office 2000 or Office XP.

We have Office 2003 licenses, which are downgradable to earlier versions. You may only install the parts of the earlier version that are in the new license that you purchase.

CDs for Office 2000 are no longer available. We have a network installer for Office 2000/pro still online, as well as a code online that can be used with most of the Office 2000 media types.
