UCSD PTC Pro/Engineer Agreement
UCSD Academic Computing & Media Services and PTC (Pro/Engineer) have entered into a quantity purchase arrangement for a suite of PTC products via an agreement called the University Plus Program.
The PTC products available through this agreement make up the PTC Pro/Engineer suite of Pro/Engineer and add on modules. The agreement allows up to 500 stations of this software at UCSD. Each computer must be licensed as described below.
Who qualifies
These software packages are only available to UCSD departments for use on UCSD owned computers. These computers must be on the UCSD campus network to utilize the network license manager.
Purchase can only be through campus IFIS Index numbers.
What is provided
The products are offered for Annual license lease only.
When the agreement starts & stops
The agreement runs from 7/2006 to 7/2010, at which time the contract may be continued or terminated. The expectation is that this will be renewed as long as there is sufficient interest on campus.
Costs
The price of a complete single distribution to be used on a single workstation is $25 per year. A $20 transaction fee may be waived for the first borrow of the distribution kit.
Annual subscriptions will be renewed unless you opt out. Let us know at least 2 weeks before renewals are due if you want to opt out or change your IFIS index number

The basic help files for Pro/ENGINEER are available via the Help, Contents and Index, menu item. The initial page describes PTC Help contents. To access the contents, click on the button labelled "Contents" which appears in the upper right-hand corner of the page.
Media
Media can be obtained by borrowing the set of CD's for up to a week.
